Bombing civilian populations happened throughout the war before the atom bomb was ready. Total war. That's the reprehensible part. And it probably started because of a mistake. Neither the Brits nor the Germans planned to do it, but a German bomber wing accidentally hit a civilian area and the British thought it was intentional, so the ante was upped to bombing populations. I could be wrong. This is just a story I heard.


And we've had creative control in our contract ever since.

Nothing accidental about it. Civilians were bombed just as frequently as military targets. Cacs were killing each other at unprecedented rated during ww2.

I would never vote for anyone who questions Truman's decision to use the bomb...Besides the bomb, what other choice did Truman have?
