The train was annoying going to work at 2am...:hhh: always MTA with the construction shyt...

But coming home was WAY worse, packed trains no space to sit, you dead tired and you gotta ride the train to the last stop...:snoop: Good thing most of the time the train was express... but still...:hhh:

And even when I had a car there was traffic on the GCP especially around 1 or 2... You gotta get off the GCP before 2pm because it got bad during rush hour...:why: Taking local streets even took longer!!!

12 am to 6am is the only time I actually go online and look up the MTA schedule. I wake up at 4 am to go to the gym and have to run to catch the Q train leaving Kings Hwy at 4:13 AM.

The thing about the subway or any form of public transportation is that it's better to have it as an option instead of the only way to get around along with your feet. I know there's folks who are 30 something years old who never got a drivers license relying upon the subway and bus. :picard: that sounds crazy to me. If something happens where they need to rent a car and drive, how are they gonna manage to get around? I really never understood that.

It's funny how there's people in NYC that keep thinking that the world outside the five boros are the same. Probably wouldn't even be able to manage somewhere like westchester, new Jersey or Connecticut. I can't live my life like that being dependent on public transportation. It's cool to ride on the subway or the bus once in awhile but for me, I do it as a reminder of what my only option was to get around at one point. To be grateful and remember what I shouldn't be taken for granted.

If you're a train buff like me it's not :pachaha:

I like every car class in the active fleet from those old R32s which took dinosaurs to work to the brand new R179 cars:banderas:

The new train cars suck. I remember the redbirds and my favorite the r40 slants. I miss the r40 slants. The way the orange B and orange Q logos looked in the front of those cars as well as the window signs. :banderas:

I grew up in Flatbush between B & Q and 2 & 5 lines, so I have fond memories of both those car classes :mandarinduck:

You guys have to stop speaking on shyt you know nothing about. Millions and millions of people use public transportation here as their only form of transportation. During normal hours, it’s fast and reliable. People who live in nyc aren’t thinking about transportation anywhere else because y’all don’t matter.
