Goatganda the pearl of Africa
They kind of are.
Going down 3-1 is basically the nail in the coffin

Out of 187 teams down 3-1 Only 8 teams in NBA history have come back to win the series.

best of 5 would be so clutch right now. have these fake top teir teams shook.

the thought of houston, okc, or indiana one game closer to going fishing :ahh:

I think we'd see more urgency from favorites if it was best of 5 (save Indy they just look :patrice:).

IM PRETTY SURE THERES BEEN MORE UPSETS IN THE 1ST ROUND 7 GAME FORMAT THAN
THE 5 GAME FORMAT WHEN USING THE SAME TIME SPAN.
BEST OUT OF 5 FORCES YOU TO BRING YOUR A GAME FROM THE START...
NO SLEEP WALKING THROUGH THE 1ST ROUND.

THIS POST MAKES NO SENSE...
BECAUSE IT DOESNT FACTOR THE 7 GAME SERIES THAT GO 3-2 AND 3-3.

Link?

When a series is tied 1-1, it becomes best of five, yet okc and Indy still 'sleptwalk' in game 3. :comeon:

Bottom line is that if it takes seven games to
determine a winner in the later rounds it makes no logical sense to have different criteria in the first round. That would be like changing the length of quarters in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs....what's the point?
