Opening post is the reason why I joined this place.
I totally agree with your premise of this album's completeness. It has everything I need in an album... subject matter, the perfect balance of melody and harmony with technical rapping, a variety of sonic landscapes to rap on, even the background vocals on this album are a journey. The sampling on this album have a lot of character too.
I love the direction and how all the narratives encompass us black folk. I'm listening to "Love" right now, pure beauty. Umi Says one of my favourite songs regardless of genre. I've had Habitat on repeat for a long period of time couple days. The vamp out of that song is spiritual. Perfect song about "home"
I have no problem with this being in the "greatest" conversation... I'd give this album to somebody who wants to venture into Hip Hop it's that great to me.
