Graduation is that album that inspired me to get up every morning and stop cutting classes and finish my sophomore year in High School

Nah Graduation is my least favorite Kanye album, Drunk & Hot Girls, Barry Bonds, and Homecoming are
status, it's a solid 4 mics.808's and Heartbreak is a very good experimental "gotta get this shyt off my chest NOW" type album. Again I'd give it 4 mics off the execution, creativity, and ambition alone but what cannot go unnoticed is that Kanye can't sing for shyt. There's only so much autotune you can utilize and Kanye is just a very bad singer, can't be a classic singing album if you can't sing...

I agree, all classics except for 808s.
That is not slept on and it's not fukking underrated. It's just lazy, sloppy, experimental, and at least 50% wack. The only reason people try and say it's misunderstood or slept on is because they can't just accept that it's self indulgent trash.

Hmmm now that I think about it....i do skip more joints off of mbdtf than 808's on the shuffle....but i think thats just due to how long some songs are on that album such as Runaway, Blame Game, and teh fact that alot of the album was pretty much heard to death prior to release...but I still feel when it comes album vs album mbdtf is better....one could say 808's had more soul..but i feel like mbdtf was more balanced...the posse cuts were
Runaway is better than any song on 808's imo but at any rate....this argument just helps the case that Ye's catalog is nothing to fck wit 808s is his second most influential album.
i used to think this but as i listen to these albums again, for the most part kanye is not an entertaining rapper and not very good 
hes actually gotten better recently IMO. but on his old shyt he has very poor mic presence.
i find myself listening to LR/CD anyways just because of the dope melodies and production, but his verses are always an afterthought

Honestly the only classic i can give him is Late Registration. CD has some classics on it but overall it didnt age well imo. All his other shyt is a mixed bag and MBDTF really doesnt have alot of replay value.
Now that i think about it Kanye might be one of the most overrated rappers ever

Graduation is a personal classic of mine, pretty much the soundtrack to the second half of 2007, Lloyd's street love holding it down for the first half
His first 3 CD's were
flashing lights and I wonder still get me 
Edit: we know he couldn't spit for real, those cd's were not classics for his rhyming, the whole sound and content he brought on those carried them to classic levels - shyt, he still ain't a good rapper technically, but he brings a complete product...except cruel summer which was wack

go back and listen. the aging on cd is actually because of the samples, all the drums and beats are perfectly fine. i used to think the same about mbdtf but thats cuz i realized i already played out half the album cuz half of it was already released from good friday or the movie
