Kind of a side rant but I feel one of the biggest faults of hip hop as a genre is few if any artists with real longevity.

Artists like Prince and David Bowie were still very musicall active 15 years after their debut; most of the hip hop OGs either just totally fall off, become actors or try to shill some business

Revolution of the charting system; only including streaming and digital sales, which in turn will see the eradication of physical sales, which in turn will see the disassemblement of the big 3 major labels (Sony, Warner, Universal) which will see the rise of the big 4 tech companies (Amazon, Apple, Google, Facebook) becoming the most important companies in the music biz.

People complaining about how music isn't as real as it was in 2015, citing acts like Iggy Azelea, One Direction and Ariana Grande as musical vanguards

nikkaz still waiting for a compotent Meek diss to Drake

The 80's music scene copied the alternative 50's music scene. The 90's copied the alternative 60's music scene. The 00's copied the alternative 70's music scene.Perhaps this is so because employees in the music industry were kids at that time and they influence the music scene accordingly.
The 2010's skipped a decade. It should've been the 80's,but it's the 90's instead.Maybe the music execs are just younger or consumers have more influence than ever before on music trends(a lot of ppl have found fame in unconventional ways like youtube, etc).

So 20 yrs from now,it will be heavily influenced by hipster, alternative hip hop, rock, etc music of today.

shyt idk don't really care. I'll still be bumping Mike, Prince, Earth Wind and Fire, and Stevie true musicians and artist. Not the throw away musicians that are being produced.
Hip-hop will be more dead than it is now.
RnB will prob go into a renaissance phase

In terms of R&B I think you would see more bands like the Internet and more soulful music I think cacs will take over rap 15 years from now and we will start a new genre of music

More saturation with the mumble rap and those with bars will be few.
