One question though,

Vince has clearly tried to replicate rock in a few forms, and bruno, but he hasnt tried to replicate austin who did EASILY their GOAT business outside of Hogan (and better depending on the matrices used)...is there a reason IYO as to why?

I think Austin was only elevated as a response to compete with WCW and be desperate to give fans what they want. Aside from that, generally speaking his babyface formula has been the same when there's been no elevated threat of competition.

IRL even the pussiest wrestlers in WWE gotta be tough to do what they do. i mean they take beatings for a living.

but as far as characters go i still feel like even the bottom guys from the golden age would destroy the current guys. just off the way they looked, acted and sold.

they were men, not boys. they didn't sing, they didn't dance, they didn't make jokes, and their balls didn't shrink in the presence of authority figures.

Bad News was easily 1 or 2 at that time....heat he got at that time was prime Roddy Piper levels...crowd went crazy at RR 89 when savage atracked him...thats pure heat.

The angle with him and Jack Tunney was genius...

I would put Bossman in the top 3.
