I remember when the verdict was read. I was 19 and at my then girlfriends house. She was half white (her dad). When it was read, I was cheering, and he was seething pissed. He was like "This is an injustice, this is a travesty", and I remember saying, "Black people have been saying we have a broken justice system for decades... now you know"
and looked at me like, "Get the f**k out of my house"
