Nothing about this guy's music is timeless. He has ZERO classics and the guy is essentially a black clearance sale version of Eminem.

I'm even starting to question if he's the best technical MC in his own click.

In 1997, this guy would get almost zero run. None of his albums could stand the smell test to the prime rappers during that era.

This guy's whole hype train is some funny-style shyt, and that's coming from a poster who likes him amongst the new gen rappers in 2017. I just don't love the dude.

He's ok. I did enjoy Damn but other than that I don't replay any of his music. He can't be the GOAT of this generation because so far his catalog isn't memorable track by track even to those who really like his music. If you go to a Kendrick concert he's rapping by himself 75% of the show. His fans don't even know a good portion of his full catalog just certain songs and certain lines. He's got some talent but he's not the GOAT. He's just got that Interscope machine working in his favor

:sas2:

Damn solidified his place in HipHop history....he is far from the goat...but not to many artist have put out back to back to back classic albums...last one to my knowledge was Joe Budden with his Mood Musik 1-3 anthology

And Drake is Interscopes puppet by way of Apple music....:yeshrug:

TBAP's a classic, it brought together pretty much every generation of funk, like Dre did 20 years before. Except this time he had like Thundercat, George Clinton, everyone. And Good Kid encapsulated an era and probably is a classic too.
I don't even listen to Kendrick, but I mean seriously it's like you're just kinda saying things to be controversial.

Yea. If he came out between 94 and 2004 nobody would even sign him. Be just not dope enough. New generation stay losing
I think he could get signed but he wouldn't have much success in the 90s era.

This is retarded. Talib kweli became an underground icon in that era for Christ sake. Kendrick wouldve easily shined in that period. Imagine a prime Mos and Kendrick collab though :noah:
You're making my point

Prime Talib >/= Current Kendrick

And prime Mos would rap circles around Kendrick
