If there is one company in one industry that can manage to avoid this, it's the WWE....:yeshrug:

They are gigantic fish in an extremely small and irrelevant pond.

I imagine that everyone was paid off a long time ago, they probably just continue to pay out on a case to case basis now.

One of the mailbag questions from Wrestling Observer's podcast over the weekend was if there would be a Weinstein like fallout if WWE scandals were brought up again and Meltzer said in reality the mainstream media doesnt take wrestling seriously enough to pursue it and the ones who do cover Wrestling are bedfellows with WWE (ESPN, Rolling Stone etc)

It's like I said in my thread about this How Long Before Vince McMahon/WWE Gets Weinsten'd?

That was BEFORE they were a publicly traded company that sells action figures to kids and has shows on the E! Channel and has all the "Make A Wish"/"Be A Star"/"Connor's Cure" type stuff.

The WWE is as mainstream as it gets now

This isn't the Flair/Magnum T.A. NWA days

He is dead wrong on this point. He is failing to see how big the shyt storm of exposing male predators in any type of entertainment industry is right now.

If there are any allegations that can be corroborated on people like Shane, Vince, Triple H, or top talent like Cena, Lesnar, Undertaker, etc. it will be in major media outlets, not just ESPN or Rolling Stone.

Edit: A good example of this is how even a producer for those superhero series on cable is getting massive coverage for his escapades. So even Kevin Dunn could get put on blast imo.
