Would this be your response if he was dating your daughter or sister, or did this to your daughter or sister?he served his time and paid the price given to him.
what are y'all asking for?
The fact that he showed no remorse doesn't frighten you?

They were aware when he was deported back, I assume. I wonder how his family interacts with him?I agree. At the very least he should've been required to disclose his crime to the US authorities.
You can't rehabilitate rapists. That is something that is in you or notA bit of cultural nuance is lacking in this thread.
He was a child at the time of the incident, so as a child he was given leeway in sentencing. Had he been one year older, then the sentence would have been much harsher.
The age of majority is 20 in japan. Its a huge thing in their society, with its own name "hatachi" and a festival for new adults symbolizing full maturity. Even moreso than the age of adulthood is here. So at 19 in jp, he was treated the same way a 17 or 16 year old would he treated in an American system.
Furthermore, Their system (and many progressive systems around the world) isnt about throwing people under jails , but fixing them. They didn't treat him differently due to his Americanness . But in the Japanese context , he would have had rehabilitation and job placement after his term. They got an insanely low reoffending rate because they actually fix people in japan. Even moreso when someone is a child (by their definition)
If anything their status should be elevated since they are the only ones that can bear children. Any violent or sexual crime against a little girl or woman should be dealt with harshly.I saw a case from Japan where some teens kidnapped, tortured, raped, and eventually killed a teenage girl back in the late 80s 90s and the ones involved basically got a slap on the wrist.
When I was reading about the details it seriously fukked me up for a couple of days.
I'm willing to bet the low birth rate in Japan is tied to how women feel they are treated as lesser in society
I have not seen it myself, but in the comments on Reddit, his parents and church were celebrating his homecoming and victim blaming. They were aware when he was deported back, I assume. I wonder how his family interacts with him?
Laws are local. The jury of peers are japanese. They judged him under their judicial system and under their cultural context. He wasn’t a “child” and even if he was below 16 or 14you knew what you’re doing with that level of sadism
I agree. I was raised here with a similar value and culture system . But i suppose this is a risk of passport life? Something parents should think carefully about before sending their kids abroad. If this was my daughter, I don’t know if I could find peace with this answer.
So this should slide under the radar for what reason? Because he is black?
What’s to stop him murdering a black woman or man? Some random black man murdered some random white woman in Japan in 2012 when he was 19.
It's basically White Male Rage Bait on a site that's for Black Men.
- He's not some hot artist right now.
- She wasn't some important chick.
- It happened a long time ago.
- And his "light" punishment is because the Japanese have a different view of things than Americans do.
There's prolly a Black Man getting a light sentence in America today for the exact same crime...and it's not news, and it certainly wouldn't get posted here.
If you're on somejust say that.
Crazy that you actually have the balls to make this post, but then again, nothing surprises me anymore. I hope this never happens to any unimportant chick in your life like your sister daughter or any other female relative. Some random black man murdered some random white woman in Japan in 2012 when he was 19.

It’s not that she’s white it’s that she was murdered sadistically and the killer is just living his life normally I have the same energy for all premeditated killers of innocent peopleY’all gotta stop trying to sympathize with white people regardless of where they are from. If the shoe was on the other foot, they would have made sure this story never get out.
In fact, there are too many stories with cacs getting off easily for killing black people and y’all wanna sympathize with the devil?![]()
