So from what I gather, you've just grown tired of talking about racism. Now the question is: what do you expect us to do with this information?
should we dap you and do the same?
should we ask you why and try to explain to you that not discussing racist events that have personally affected you or people you know--and just refusing to vent about that can actually be harmful to your long term well-being?
should this be an opportunity for us to dialogue about what attitudes should be taken to towards this topic--and how we as black people don't have the luxury of being viewed as individuals and we are constantly reminded of our race--even in simple discussions (e.g. "yeah, that black guy" as opposed to "yeah, the guy who has the red shirt")?
I'm not trying to be condescending or some kind of @sshole. I'm genuinely curious as to what motivated this thread and the desired outcome.
I don't know, a dap would be nice.
And no, because if you tried to explain that then you might be wrong. Talking about racism hasn't gotten us anywhere, especially on this site so how could not talking about racism be harmful?
Ok, so we should show these unjustly treatments attention so that we can solve what? Black people say things like that as well "yeah, that white boy". It's a double edged sword.
I think you should lead by example, if you see constraints and boundaries because of your skin color then you've already been beaten by these racists. Perhaps you should try something different.
