That teen still recognizes someone my age as being young but just “older” than them but still young.

Someone in their mid-30s would be looked at negatively as an old head by teens and those of us in our 20s .

That's not true at all no teen has ever referred to me (and more than likely most people my age) as OGs, that's something someone in their mid-30s and up would be called.

We haven't lived long enough as adults to be OGs I'm 27 which means I've only been an adult for 6yrs since turning 21.

I'm born in the mid 80's and in my lifetime I watched Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, prime Mike Tyson, Kareem play. I remember Michael Jordan before he even won 1 ring. Michael Jackson Bad album was the hottest thing moving.

When I say all that out loud I feel old af and I'm not even 40 yet.

Dependent on good health of course

My neighbor is 71 and he and his wife travel to foreign countries and shyt like 3x per year.

A teen definitely sees someone less than 3 years from 30 as an old head

age is relative. Old is subjective. Old to me is not being able to function reasonably anymore.


Do you have a little snap in your step, stable on a slipery surface, or are you barley able to walk around without looking "weak".

Are you able to speak clearly and project your voice, or are you barely able to raise your voice and when you speak its not clear and incoherent.

Are you able to take out the trash, wash the dishes and bend down.

and the biggest one, are you jaded, bitter and feel like your ready to die.



But i would say 80 is "old". Compared to maybe 40 years ago when 60 was considered "old". Most 60 year olds who take care of themselves still have half their life in the tank.

I’m old AF then. It hurts so bad.

Now that I have older parents, it’s not surprising for people to go in their 70’s and that’s generally a full life, but 80+ is “it was their time” old

I kinda see life in phases,

25 and under young
25-35 young adult
35-50 early middle age
50-60 late middle age
60-70 early old
70-80 average old
80+

In the grand scheme of things, if you not old and decrepit enough to be easily admitted to a nursing home, you not old for real. People like to throw around the term old all the fukking time. It also depends on your status if you’re flabby or not at a certain age. Some folks are old by 40, Norwood VII balding, giant gut, can’t tie their own shoes without a struggle etc. But I also think the society we live in defines old by cac standards and cacs age like shyt anyway.
