Kawhi on this team, quite frankly, would have made the Raptors a step below Golden state as a instant favorite/finals decided in July type shyt. I wouldn’t say he fukked up, but there’s still some questions around the Clippers. the only reason the raptors are getting underestimated anyway is cause they don’t have a star. I mean there’s pascal but a Giannas/Embiid/Bron/Harden/KD/Kawhi type cat

And come to think about it, I’m glad Kawhi isn’t on the raptors cause that really would be some shyt similar to Golden state. They obviously wouldn’t be a “super team” in terms of stars, but they’d be built well enough to beat the shyt out of everybody and it wouldn’t be fun for anyone outside of Canada. Remember OKC pitched a idea of giving PG to them too

It really comes down to what is proven vs pure potential, and which you want to gamble on.
The Raps w/ Kawhi are proven to be (at worst) a step below the KD GSWs and a match for the Step/Klay/Dray era Warriors. That level is better than any team in the East, and probably a bad matchup for LAL since Gasol/Ibaka is probably the best defensive lineup vs AD.
The Clips w/ Kawhi have the potential to be on par or better than the KD GSWs, bc KL, PG, and Trez can give similar production as KD, Steph, Klay, but LAC has far better role players than GS did. However, they're unproven and they're bigs lack the pedigree of the Raps.
Wasn't Nurse always their defensive coach? The biggest issue nikkas ain't want to talk about is Demar. He's one of the worst defenders in the league and was always their weak link. He get attacked and the whole defense fell apart. That what made him one of the worst playoff performers ever + nikka can't score in playoffs either. Those breakdowns in defense with Demar is how Lebronto even got started. Now Bron 0-4 against Toronto.....and he had AD in 2 of those games and Raps only had Kawhi in 1/4.
Raps now got no weak link and multiple all defense caliber defenders. Everyone can defend. You can't attack them they got plus defenders every position. Lakers was tryin to attack Fred vanfleet with Kuz but he kept locking him down. This lil nikka a pitbull he was getting stops on Giannis in the playoff. Prolly that whiteboi Matt Thomas can be attacked but he don't get much mins. Everyone else disciplined, got strength and or length, and they all communicate.

That Raptors would not stand a chance against the KD Warriors breh. They got lucky that everyone was injured last year.

I’ve said the Raptors have a great chance to repeat because of their chemistry and collection of guys who just love to play ball. Only team with the ability beat them in 7 games are the Clippers due to depth and star power.

Yup excuses abound lol every nba team is playing every other day. Raptors had a fifteen game winning streak this year and this is the first time all year everyone is healthy.
