:what: You mean your QB, the person with the ball in their hands on every offensive snap, is less important than your WR?

If you're picking top 10 and don't take a qb you're an idiot.
oh no qb is def most important. but rice has to fit somewhere. i cant see the top 10 all time draft being all quarterbacks.

I could see at least 7 Modern QB's(last 30 years)going over rice maybe more, then there are defensive players like LT.

At the end of The day it comes down to the question... How much value does a Great WR Have on the W/L in comparison to other positions? Calvin Johnson had one of the GOAT WR seasons last year and his team won 4 games

All the GOAT quarterbacks would be picked first. Jerry is good, but give me Marino + a next tier WR like Owens, Cris Carter, or hell current day Megatron and a next tier RB and I'm good.

With today's rules I'm not so sure Jerry's skills are that much better than the best WRs today. And I say that as a huge fan.

with the rules changing and benefiting the offense and with the amount of passing going on, jerry would be a lock for over 1400 every year

I dont think he should've said skills but impact on the W/L record. If I replaced Megatron with Prime Rice on the 12' Lions do they do any better? Dude had almost 2,000 Yards receiving and they won 4 games. What about the cardinals with Fitz the last few years?

The qbs would go before him easily. After QB id be looking at a pass rusher. And after that id want a LT. I can find receivers for Brady, Manning, Montana, and Young later.

In a draft of the all time greats in NFL history, where all teams are starting from scratch, only a pwussy-hole raas-claat idiot fukk-boy would take a WR early when you can get an all time great QB and build all time great OLs and DLs and truly control a game regardless of the peripheral offensive talent.

He'd be top 20. You figure GOAT QBs and GOAT DEs get picked first. Primetime would get picked before him. Then it's a case of choosing GOAT RBs or WRs. Actually you might be able to draft offensive line and still end up with a HOF back or receiver:manny:

I honestly wouldn't even consider WR until after I've sewn up QB and a few o-linemen plus RB. I'd love drafting against y'all going skill positions after QB. Meanwhile I'd be drafting Anthony Munoz, Nate Newton, and Larry Allen after picking Marino/Joe/Peyton/Young/Moon.

My point was that today's rules allow more receivers to get off. Sure Jerry would be at the top but the gap between him and the person after him would be miniscule. I think his talent stood out better back when WRs were getting fukked up and bullied at every turn. Rice had a great combination of skills and mental toughness. But today you got finesse WRs like Desean Jackson who perform decently when they wouldn't have done squat in the 80's.

In a nutshell there's more than enough good WRs to where the position loses its value as a high pick in an all-time draft.
