It's a different era of video games. If you grew up playing shoot em up 2D side scrollers of course it will be easy to just pick up and play. But for someone who grew up in the PS3/PS4 era, this shyt is completely foreign.

Flip the script and let someone who only played 8/16 bit games play Ghosts or AW online....They would look hilariously bad.

it's crazy being part of the generation that played games like Contra when it came out and being an adult who still games today.

games like Contra and other games of that time where very much based upon pattern recognition.
if you played that game enough then you would memorize the way events would unfold and use that to your advantage.

today's games are more open and random but the AI you are competing against are not hard to beat for the most part.

very interesting to see a new generation play the games of my youth.

I could beat Contra 1 and 3 without dying. Didn't get enough time with Super C (Contra 2) to master it. Now the arcade versions of Contra 1 and 2 were way harder than NES due to being less agile and I never beat those

yeah these are fake. this game not that hard to figure out, there are 2 buttons.
