In defense of Nastradamus

Track sequencing on an album is important and I don't think Nastradamus is sequenced well despite it having gems. Last Words should have been the closing track.

Nas setting the bar so high for himself is why Nastradamus got the criticism it got; Nas is the most over scrutinized rapper in the history of the game. He’s like LeBron.

This was one of the instances where it should've been panned though. Even as a Nas fan and listening to I Am... and then listening to the Lost Tapes and unreleased songs from that era, it is undeniable that Nastradamus was weak.

Nastradamus is trash, but it would have never existed had I Am not leaked. If that album went as planned - as a double album - Nas' trajectory would be very different.

Project Windows was dope
Come Get Me was underwhelming IMO.

Album was a dud for an artist of Nas’ caliber.

First Nas album I heard. I like it for nostalgia/era vibes although its def not his strongest material. I think its a more consistent listen than I Am and a lot of the Nas albums that followed.
