He's a marginal player that's for sure, but that Giants offensive line has been shytty for the last few years.

assuming this is a legit question, the answer is coughlin doesnt trust any of our backs w/ a consistent dose of 25+ carries, so he gives them possessions. jennings has a bad injury history but he's a good pass blocker and our o-line has been ass, so if we're down, youre gonna see him and vareen in there alot. obviously vareen to receive.

we've got 4 backs and none of them have separated themselves from the pack halfway thru the season, just sparks here and there.
if you think holding the line accountable for that when you've got a rookie paired w/ a group that lost someone to retirement and two other guys that went down with injuries...then i dunno what to tell you, man. maybe you just want to argue and disregard facts. its really football 101, when youre a passing team and your line struggles, you hold a back to help in pass protection. nobody came into this season thinking the giants were going to be the 90's chiefs. our offense was going to be successful passing.
