we've got 4 backs and none of them have separated themselves from the pack halfway thru the season, just sparks here and there.

if you think holding the line accountable for that when you've got a rookie paired w/ a group that lost someone to retirement and two other guys that went down with injuries...then i dunno what to tell you, man. maybe you just want to argue and disregard facts. its really football 101, when youre a passing team and your line struggles, you hold a back to help in pass protection. nobody came into this season thinking the giants were going to be the 90's chiefs. our
offense was going to be successful passing
.
But the team won't.

Its because the talent just isn't there at the RB position like it was a decade ago

10 years ago every team had a good RB and alot of those teams had 2

Look at the league now and the RBs that have come into the league the last 5+ years and you'll see that the talent just isn't there anymore

Why Shane Vereen isn't starting just proves how idiotic the Giants are as a whole

Who "starts" a game doesn't even matter. We have 4 rbs who all receive a similar number of snaps (spoiler: Vereen has the most) depending on the situation and production. There's a lot of resources out here fam, y'all don't have to be stupid.

jennings should be getting more carries, he actually is pretty decent, but he has the tendency to fumble now and again. that fukk andre williams tho? :sadgoat: dude is slow as shyt. the hole closes up before he even gets to the line.

Jennings is actually a decent RB, I remember watching him oakland some years back and he looked like a quality RB. But that rb position is a timeshare in NY hence the lack of yards.

I feel like may OP doesn't understand how runningbacks work?

I don't think Rashad Jennings is great, he's fine, and he's been part of a platoon his entire career... and his time here with the Giants is no different from that. So they rotate backs depending on situations, and nobody gets 20-25 carries consistently.

He's an average back, who lacks any kind of top-level burst, but can make one cut and hit a hole. He can catch the ball out of the backfield, but that role now goes to Vereen, who is a great receiving back. Add with his injury history, and this isn't really much of a question.
