If you were a franchise player withthe potential to win 5 rings but got hurt after your first i consider that ruined.
David Robinson got hurt in his 8th year in the league (95)and was never the same again. To put that in perspective Michael Jordan won his first championship on his 8th season. (or was it 9th)

I magine how much more he could have accomplished if he was healthy

Like I said, Robinson was already a league MVP, DPOY, perennial All Star, and named one of the 50 Greatest players of all time BEFORE he got injured.

A player not reaching their potential and their career being ruined are two different things.

Where's Mcdyess?

I'm glad they threw Amare on there.Pre Injury, he was the most athletic PF I ever seen.

Blake Griffin is a better dunker and Mcdyess had just as much power, but Amare had everything.

Quickest first step(first step of a PG on a PF), power, balance, finish ability...running the court

And then he starting knocking down that J with regularity....I thought he was on his way to being one of the top 5 players in the game.

Them knees always get ya, though:why:

Brandon Roy shyt is just tragic. He should've at least been in the top 5 on this list. He's the poster child for this shyt

:childplease: @ Larry Bird and Chris Webber on that list. Bird won his rings, his personal achievements as well. Chris Webber avg 21 and 10 and is going to the HOF. His statline is comparable to DRob and Ewing at the end of the day. Not everyone plays well into their mid to late 30's like Kobe. Complex doesn't know shyt about basketball and we could come up with a much better list than that.
honestly, kings were probably gonna win in 03 if it wasnt for the webber injury =/

Steve Francis not being top3 on this list makes it a fallacy and not credible. Francis was a top 3 point guard when he was healthy .

I hate to be my usual cynical self, but the Bulls told Jay Will to chill out on the motorcycles :yeshrug:

And, while I'm a Nickerbocker for life, Houston knew his knees were finished, yet he still took that huge payout, which ultimately led us to be in the Dark ages for almost over a decade :pacspit:

Yeah, the SMART thing for him to do would have been turning it down. :aicmon:

Baron Davis and Steve Francis should probably be on this list as well.

:rudy:

What universe did this take place? Or are you saying Steve Francis was never healthy at any point of his career?

I liked Steve Francis but at no point was he a top 3 guard in the league.

Kidd, Marbury, Nash, Baron Davis, and Payton were all better than Fransic during his prime years "2002 and in 03"

hell i might even get Cassell over Francis with all that dribbling he did.:pacspit:

And notice he didn't just say PG, he said GUARD, That includes SG's.

At no poin in his career was Steve Francis better than Kobe Bryant, Ray Allen, or A.I.
