Shaq has a high basketball IQ as well (don’t let the size fool you)

He just has a much higher entertainment IQ. Not saying his brand of analysis is inherently more entertaining (it depends on the audience) it’s just Shaq knows he’s on a TV show and performs like that, Wall seems to want to talk basketball specifics :manny:

Problem is expert anaylsis doesn't equal ratings.

If yall really thought this was entertaining you would love school more. Watching a teacher lecture = same thing.

Shaq bring ratings
Basketball is not engineering requiring analysis. its a game meant to entertain, these guys are hosting shows about this game. IE game show hosts.
You going to pick Steve Harvey over Stephan Hawking any day of the week, even though Stephan might be able to to provide better analysis.

lakers v Celtics just got the highest ratings in year, not because it was the perfect game or because of expert analysis, but because it offered a Rivarly on the same level of Hulk Hogan v Andrea the Giant. And you know what? the WWE broadcasters would do a better job covering the NBA than all these expertly boring analysis yall keep trying to push. Jerry Lawler has also been successful for a reason. Personality.

Wall seems like he will be a good/great analyst on NBA shows. The problem is: people dont want to hear actual analysis. People want fukkery. Shaq brings the fukkery. Hell, Kendrick Perkins brings the fukkery. Charles Barkley brings the fukkery. They want black men on TV that will be funny and maybe informative. Someone they can joke and laugh at. And they get paid well for it.
