Only real bad tracks were Raspy shyt and keep it playa.

Slim’s style was not made for the Neptune’s sound.
Keep It Playa one of my fav songs on it lol. I disagree, Slim did good. It ain’t Still Tippin but still

Slim Thug was excellent over those beats. And he had enough Mr. Lee beats on there to vary it up
Who the fukk is Mr Lee? I’m not shyttin on slim thug. I’m just sayin still tippin is a certified hip hop classic.

the mixtape was fire...pharrell had better bars than 90% of rappers during this era

...not to mention when Pharrell outrapped T.I. on his own song and it didn't make any album

Did Pharrell write his own shyt? Every other producer/rapper at his level of success has pens attached to them but not him.

It flopped. Pharrell isn’t as good of a rapper he thinks he is.

and I think he tried to hard to portray the “rapper” artist and over did the project

plus people weren’t buying the “skateboard p” image

they rushed and put out the live version with quest love to counter the flop which was better

still if Pharrell does hip hop he’s better doing collab albums like clones

I always felt the album was underated and Lil underappreciated. I definitely preferred the mid-tempo and slower R@b type tracks on the album. Best friend and Snoop track were probably my favorites though

I remember it got trashed by 95% of the posters on SOHH. This was the period that Chad Hugo was on an hiatus or something and Pharrell was producing mostly solo. The beats were missing something around that time, way more duds than hits (for example Anything of Kingdome Come & the stuff from the second Gwen Stefani album). But time has been kind to this one and That Girl is a personal classic.
