f you buy me oneNone, because I don't make resolutions (I think they're silly). If someone were going to do something, they'd have generally already done it; why wait until the New Year, or say I'll stop doing [insert activity] when you know you're not going to?
Deal.if you buy me one
hopefully yours is to stop being an attention whore on a male dominated website
Tell me how you really feel? And how am I attention whoring? I feel like I'm part of a constant discussion about various topics.
maybe you're on the wrong board. My mid 20s were a long time ago... while certain things have changed, the day-to-day grind of life still doesn't get in the way of me doing what I want to do (I actively make sure it doesn't), and I generally don't put things off, but the choices I made in my 20s affords me that luxury today; I already did the "hard" work. If I would have put it off, then I wouldn't be as far as I am today. Setting a goal and making a resolution are two different things to me. Resolutions just scream temporary and flimsy, if you will; if I set a goal (whether short-term or long) and have an established path to said goal, it's going to get done, baring some crazy unforeseen circumstances.I agree with you in theory. Generally speaking....when I want to change something...the fukk I look like waiting for the new years just to do it? Sounds like I really dont want to change.
But once you hit mid 20s life kinda passes you by differently. The things you want to do you end up putting on hold cause you gotta deal with the immediate and necessary day-to-day grind. Each new year or birthday represents that unavoidable actualization of time elapsing. Sometimes its good to get that reminder that we're running out of time on life. So no, I dont really make new years resolutions. But I do set short term goals for myself that I would like to accomplish in that calendar year...or long term goals I would like to see some progress on during that calendar year.
I was having a similar talk with this jehovas witness. Basically they were saying they dont celebrate holidays cause every day is supposed to be a holiday. If you care about someone why u gotta wait til xmas or their bday to do somethin special for them. I can see where they're coming from...but it just seems unrealisitc. Its good to have a certain couple days a year we all have off from work and all agree we need to meet up with our loved ones or whatever. If it wasnt for xmas or thanksgiving...Id never see my whole family in the same room except for funerals cause people have different schedules and different lives.

you know you're my man, but read the OPMy mid 20s were a long time ago... while certain things have changed, the day-to-day grind of life still doesn't get in the way of me doing what I want to do (I actively make sure it doesn't), and I generally don't put things off, but the choices I made in my 20s affords me that luxury today; I already did the "hard" work.
