...Any single console game had a overwhelming amount of hype leading to it's release amirite?

as far as i can recall the only game that had as much major build up as a hype vehicle up until that time... was maybe Super Mario 3 perhaps?

I remember Mortal Monday, that and Hedgehog Day when they release a Sonic game on Groundhog's day had me hype as a kid.

These youngster don't how we had the huge Electronic gaming monthly mags that we would bring to school. This was before the internet movement. So E3 was all surprises for game announcements. Being the first kid to bring his MK Genesis cartridge and feuded with the snes kids on who have the better version of the game. Blood vs graphics.
