I wouldn't be surprised if ISIS is recruiting ex-Taliban that aren't cool with the Taliban's recent compromises with the Afghan/US gov't.

Isis are mercenaries, and factionalized

They get money from alot of different places and serve multiple agendas

Not just the hardliners, but factor in tribal issues and drug money disputes

The same way the original Chicago and LA gangs splintered into sets, militant groups are no different
