imagine being a 5 year old roman mark and one week he's getting hell from the authority... and the next week he's int he ring delivering a fight against cancer promo as hhh and steph look on smiling from the entrance ramp :dahell::mindblown:

5 year old kids like :what:"pops you took me to a fake wrestling match? when were you gonna tell me"

and then you just got yourself a new MMA fan

Sheamus is willing to do what the authority asks of them, Reigns will not. So in kayfabe yes Sheamus is best for business
That's the thing though, they've yet to show that. They haven't asked anything heel-worthy of him. Like if they'd have ordered him to beat down Dean, or take out somebody like Neville and he rebelled I'd agree but so far it's just been "We don't want the title on you for no reason. But we're still gonna put you on Good Morning America." :mindblown:

It only made sense with Austin. Before Austin previous WWE champs were corporate friendly. Bret, HBK(before DX), Hogan, Savage, Backlund, etc. Austin was a rebellious redneck who didn't respect authority. It's like Iverson with the sixers in the early 2000's. Popular player but didn't like to practice and didn't respect Larry Brown. He caused a lot of issues in the front office but he brought fans to the arena, sold a lot of jerseys, and made the Sixers a playoff contender for the first time in years. He caused headaches but he made them money so they couldn’t just release him or trade him that easily.

Kayfabe wise it was the same with Austin. Ratings were up, attendance rose, ppv buyrates increased, merchandise sales were up, etc. He was a rebel but a rebel that made McMahon money. McMahon couldn't fire him because he was making him to much money but made sure his life hell.

Anything after that made no sense and it's a good reason to get rid of the corporation/the authority as the main heel in the company. It's been going on for almost 20 years now.

This myth of iverson and practice has been blown out of proportion

they don't want roman reigns to the be the champion and yet every time he has gotten a title shot (with the exception of the rumble win) was because THEY granted him one.

mcmahon's idea of punishment is just a title match with a stip. it's the dumbest fukkin thing i have ever seen. you have to believe they are smoking glass in those creative meetings.

That's why they need a commish.

To make sense of who's handing out matches

The idea of the owner being a referee in a match.

What good would having a commish be if you're the owner. If you do things i dont like I can just fire you and get someone to do what I want. They need to do a storyline where all the McMahon’s lose all power and then write them off screen. They then bring in someone to be onscreen WWE President, commissioner, etc.

The real question is why are you all applying such logic to wrestling? :mjlol:

True.

Board would be pretty :hamster: if this sentiment were used all the time when discussing stuff.

Any question, or thought could be followed with "it's wrestling."

I guess we'd still have all the gossip threads, rumor threads, diva pic threads, total divas thread, make fun of wrestler threads. :ehh:
