iTunes, Zune, Windows Media Player.....something else?
Have you noticed any of them do a better/worse job than the others?
For Windows, get EAC/Lame. For Mac, get XLD, which has the Lame encoder built in.
Lame is the best mp3 encoder, and set up correctly, EAC and XLD will get you the securest rips for their respective OS.
