If you mean actual POSITION, then I'm going with pitcher... but if you take into account the fact that individual pitchers are only going to pitch once every few games then automatically that can no longer be the answer.

Pitcher. They control the whole fukking game.
Catcher actually controls the game, pitcher just executes the plan.
Is this highlighting their importance or saying it's overrated?point guards grow on trees
As far as one game, it's clearly the pitcher. However since starting pitchers only play 30 or so games, the QB is the guy for a whole season.
QB.
Pitcher can only win 1 game. And 1 game don't mean shyt. Meaningful baseball is played in series.
Meaningful games in football have 60 minutes. That's it. And the NFL is a QB league.
The problem here is you guys are referring to the player and not the position. A pitcher is still used in every baseball although it's not the same player
Imo, that would be the better way to look at it. Given the best player for the position suitable on any given game...I know nikkas don't watch hockey/soccer but where would the goalie fit in on this?If we're going by that, Imma change my answer to a franchise center. A superstar center(Dream; Shaq, etc) anchors your defense, commands double teams, and gives you a go to scoring option.
You can get to the finals with a And 1 streetball legend running pointQuarterback
Pitcher
Either forward position
