First of fukk Elon Musk but given the rapid acceleration of A.I. I think most people need to consider this a possibility. Governments need to seriously think about UBI.






What will do with your time if UBI is implemented and your labor is no longer needed?

remember there was a milk man, video stores, alarm clock guy etc., look at technology now compared to even 20 years ago the jump is INSANE.

Literally any job that uses a computer as time goes on AI will be able to do it faster and better

If someone told you 20 years ago you could type something in a chatbox and it would spill out whatever you want, you could have a phone and watch movies on it, search the internet and take high quality pictures you'd be considered mad.

20 years ago these were the phones people were using

20 years ago people were using travel agents to book tickets, watching movies on dvd players, playing music on cds. An electric car would feel like something from the far off future. An iphone camera right now will take a better photo than the top of the line camera from ten years ago. I took my expensive mirrorless camera on my last trip in september, I forgot to bring a battery I ended up using my iphone the rest of the trip and once I touched up the photos no one could tell which was from my iphone and which from my camera. You can message someone on the other side of the world and its instant, some dude in the middle of nowhere you can videocall. Back in teh day people wrote letters and ish.


That ish is coming faster than we think. I remember all the time I spent learning python, R, and vba , now I can just type python code for insert and it will spit it out in 10 seconds. 3d printing, ai, drones its scary when you think of it.

I mean most of us here are old enough to remember a big booty tv or a wood grain tv, now I have a tv in my room thats slimmer than my cell phone that I bought for less than my mom paid for a 25 inch jvc in 1993

I remember being 6 and getting NES for christmas and just being by it, and then being wow'd by sega genesis and n64 and ps1, ps2 etc. and now the grpahics we consider insane today we will laugh at in 10 years

We are so spoiled we don't realize it, from glasses to contact lenses, vr, videogames, bluetooth, 4k, 8k
Technological advances are just insane, remember being in history classes and you'd see ww2 or vietnam and it would just be grainy footage or justt a dude firing a gun etc.

Now a breh can putt on a go pro or use a cell phone and stream live
