Yeah that's not gonna happen. Keynes himself wrote about how people will be working less before the millennium.
Look where we are. The reality is if people are too busy, they won't question the status quo. If you give people the lifestyle they actually want(less work, affordable housing they can raise families in) they won't be so focused on making ends meet that they can actually start envisioning a world without multi-billionaires. The existence of a multibillionaire is a sign that your economic system is broken. That person is hoarding wealth instead of injecting it back into the economy by selling stocks to start businesses and hiring people or putting that money into funding non profits.
Elon musk's purchase of Twitter will forever go down as proof that our system is broken. This man had over 40 BILLION dollars in assets that he leveraged to purchase a social media site. What would have happened if he used that money to start 15 businesses? What would have happened if he put all of that money into the United Way or International Red Cross? What would've happened if he used that money to pay off student loans? Those students who would be paying off debt would be injecting millions into the economy each year purchasing things like clothes, services, housing, cars etc. Instead that moron wasted his money on something that isn't even worth half of what he paid for it.
In order to function how it has been, capitalism requires two things:
1. Endless natural resources
2. Endless young workers willing to work harder for less pay.
Both of those things are going away. The first due to climate change drying up fields, burning down forests, and flooding crops. The second is due to young people being priced out of child rearing. I'm spending 65% of my pay on housing and you expect me to work AND pay for daycare and other essentials when I can barely make ends meet on my own? What kind of drugs are these "leaders" taking if they expect birth rates to rise under those conditions?
The truth is there is more than enough to to feed every person on earth and secure a decent quality of life. Humanity is being held hostage by the 300 richest people who will use their funds to resist ANY attempts at changing the status quo that they benefit from even if it wouldn't change their lifestyle one bit if dividends, inheritances, and stock sales were taxed. Their mental illness prevents them from looking at things rationally. They're like Crack addicts who are obsessed with keeping things as they are instead of admiting there's a problem.
