In their respective primes who was the better fighter GGG or Kovalev?

Kovalev was the better all round boxer and faced and beat better opposition. GGG was one dimensional

I voted GGG but I got to admit that I probably look at Kovalev more favorably if he got that first Ward fight, and he could’ve won with nothing changing. If the judges went that way I don’t think anyone would have found it controversial. Same with Golovkin in the first (or either for that matter) Canelo fight.
