Exactly. :comeon:

Dude gets all-defensive team votes and DPOTY looks every year. He's thought to be one of the better defensive bigs in the league. Charles would destroy him. Inside game and from mid-range out. Ibaka is a top 15 big in the league and Barkley would wipe his ass with him.
Kevin Love would be more comparable to Barkley. Elite offensive players who play no damn defense.

Sooooo you never saw Barkley play, is what you're saying? :beli:
I seen Barkley play a lot, he was my favorite. I just think you are an idiot in regards to today's bigs is all.

I am clearly not saying Love=Barkley. I am saying they are elite offensive players who play little to no defense.

Love is arguably the worst defensive big in the league right now and Barkley has never been anything close to that on his worse day.

Barkley would still be great but you don't typically want very weak defenders at the PF position. Leads to a lot of problems for your defensive scheme unless you got a great rim protector.

Barkley would get worked defensively by the likes of Griffin, Aldridge, Lebron, Dirk, Duncan, Love, etc but he'd also be a great against them offensively.

Didn't Tim Grover say Barkley was the most physically gifted athlete ever?

He would put the paws on the likes of 'Bron. Out muscle some of these weaks front line dudes in today's era.

This is like comparing Allen Iverson to James Harden now
Nah.

Iverson actually competed on defense and could make plays on that side of the ball. A lot of his problems came simply from his miniature size. And teams weren't just coming down the court and targeting A.I. like he was Steve Nash or somebody.

James Harden on the other hand... :snoop:

Which is exactly what that metaphor explained...

Barkley didn't have the length of a shotblocker and he wasn't going to be hedging 24/7 because he felt his physicality in the paint was priority. He did try on defense. Kevin Love couldn't give a fukk.
