Was he really on PEDs?Perc Angle![]()

I've heard him say first-hand that his best work was that on TNA but nobody watched it.

I wish I gave TNA a chance to witness the hype if true.

Kurt said that almost verbatim on Stone Cold's podcast.Bullshyt, his best work was from his Werestlemania 17 match with (redacted) to his 21 match vs HBK
His goody two shoes gimmick was one of the last really great heel runs in WWE IMO
Kurt said that almost verbatim on Stone Cold's podcast.
I don't think he meant his most successful work but more so his most prolific, there's a difference.
He should've never returned to WWE in the form of a performer because in my eyes he has tarnished his legacy.

I like the way you put it. I believe you.I'm sure he said it, and I'm sure his perception of his work then was inflated by the liquor and pills
He may have felt like a God, but the tape shows matches that were more spot driven and less psychologically sound than his work from the years I mentioned

You're like the rain man.His best work was in TNA. He was putting on clinics, spots or not.
His matches always had this “psychology” and told “stories”
Maybe some aren’t a fan of them stories and prefer “punch, punch, kick, rope throw, drop down, hip toss, rest hold, reverse, headlock, rope break, chop, clothesline, rope throw, drop kick, pin, kick out, kick, repeat”
But that shyt kinda gets old

You broke that shyt down to the atom.![]()

I took a break from wrestling when stone cold and the rock left in 2003 and 2004 and only returned in 2010/11 when CM Punk was the shyt and lost interest again when he left. For me the wrestling is secondary and the gimmick is primary to keep my attention which is why the Attitude Era was so great except they could wrestle properly too and not just gimmicks like it was the case in the 80s and early 90s. Now all the wrestlers can wrestle but have no redeemable qualities about them. They are just manufactured gimps for Vince's ego.I don’t mind the so called “spot wrestling” cuz atleast it keeps my attention and my eyes glued to the tv.
But when cats start slowing it down or getting too slow like they lazily “going through the motions” and sleepwalking through it.
That’s when I begin to start paying less attention to it browsing the net on my Mac, checking my phone.... the coli shyt, IG, or other shyt. Only occasionally looking up to see what’s going on like every 5 mins or so.
They action should be spectacular and not![]()
Yeah cause thats totally what his matches in WWE were like
He had clinics in early 00's WWE that brought an absolutely necessary degree of credebility in response to the meteoric rise of UFC- without the no-selling mark for himself "wrestling machine bullshyt"
- He and (redacted) brought chain/mat wrestling back to WWE in their feud
- Helped Edge get over in singles before his neck injury
-Great match at Mania 20 vs Eddie
-Mania classic vs HBK at 21
But yeah that shyt was all strikes and rest holds![]()
And they let it all hang out vs that protected “don’t do too much” WWE style

I truly find it interesting that his whole gimmick is being the GREATEST wrestler ever, but he wasnt anywhere close to it.
Easily one of Michaels' worst mania matches too
