I think that I would make a great parent but the desire was never, ever strong enough to procreate. To be quite frank, I am scared to 10 deaths of carrying a child, birthing a child, and productively raising a child.
Lucky for me, I have plenty of nieces and nephews that I can spoil, dote on, and love on...and take them back to my brothers when they start to fray my last nerves.

I really believe in astrology and what it entails. Still learning all the time. Humans are complex and so are the factors/variables - upbringing i.e. single parent household, etc., birth order/only child, socio-economic background, spirituality, etc.
Even with all those traits aligned, the possibility to fall for the polar opposite is there.

Personally, I think carrying a child, birthing one, and raising one are somewhat comparable to the sacrifices we all have to make in our daily lives - to enjoy certain rewards. It's basically risk and reward. And you always have to take risks to get rewards in life.

Granted I'm not a female and I won't know what carrying/birthing a child is like and the sacrifices that come with it. However, I'll have to make sacrifices to raise one. And when I look at the reward that comes with it, if I can raise my child the right way and give him/her the best shot at life, to be successful. I know I'll be fulfilled even if that's only thing I ever accomplish in life because 1). I can live my dreams through my seed 2). Children are an extension of a legacy.

I know a lot of people look at children as mere procreation. But they're more than that. They're a gift and the prize that justifies our existence. My perception about children changed after reading Obama's "Dreams from my father" and how he could live those dreams without his father ever being that much of a factor in his life. And we all lead our daily lives subconsciously in order to make our parents proud and they tend to live their dreams through us, even when they're long gone. It's a cycle that shouldn't be broken no matter how scared you're.

Are human beings that complex or we just tend to make people/things more complex than they're? Since you're into metaphysics - you ought to know about the simplicity of the universe and how everything is an atom. Humanity just made things more complex than they actually are. Just be more observant and you'll see through the faux complexities and facade of humanity.
