the majority of the appeal of this rza beat is a break that was already used a number of times over.

A generic and boring mid-90's NY beat...I don't see anything special.

im pretty sure the joint i heard is from the '70s.

and they didnt do much to the beat, as the foundation for it was layed by that detroit emeralds joint. and it sounds alot more like rza's version than the emeralds joint. im talking to the point where its practically the same beat.

So they used the same drum break but did they use the same Wang Dang doodle or whatever sample? RZA cut/EQ'd that part up pretty nice so it wasn't just a straight loop. I'm not saying I don't believe you I just wanna hear it as well. Heaps of people have used the Synthetic Substitution break Even in exactly the same way but I wouldn't say they were all the sale beat

No. That break is not the reason I made this thread. That break isn't the only reason that the Incarcerated Scarfaces beat is classic. Are you slow? RZA crafted a genius beat. Stop tryna act like he just took a break, that's been used before, and had Raekwon spit over it. And you still haven't posted that beat you heard wayyyyyy before Incarcerated Scarfaces that is exactly the same.

only difference between the rza version and the beat that im referring to is the background noise. i guess thats the wang dang doodle.

other than that, all he did was add a lil more bass and SLIGHTLY speed it up.

its really the same thing for the most part.

i dont know the name of the beat that i heard. that dude ayo-bez has heard this beat used more times than me, so he might know.
