Imagine the stupid shyt that goes on daily with them, and people tune in and pay them for it because they are stupid and like stupid things. Yes there was stupid shyt back in the day like real world and jersey shore but there was not a myriad of echo chambers for people to spout of bullshyt to children or like minded dumbasses. I've never heard that term. but buddy seems like the literal definition of it, how does he have a fanbase? donations? do people just like giving money away to charlatans? I know this right wing folks are generally dumb and would jump at the opp to enrich their favorite talking head but I would assume the left is more skeptical of (I'm assuming he says he is a radical leftist or some shyt) who lives luxury doing nothing really of merit pertaining to the movement.
Why is there this expectation of what a streamer is supposed to do? That they are supposed to be some type of serious type of "profession"? That shyt is weird to me? You go to Twitch and you will see a stream with someone playing a game, people doing some wacky shyt and a stream next to it of someone live streaming themselves walking. Streamers are just random people doing random shyt, not sure why there is such an expectation of them to be more than they are.
Most streamers are not making money like that to be honest, the vast majority of them would be better off working a regular job regardless of pay. The ones that do make a living off of it at least are doing it without having to deal with regular 9-5 shyt, so that would be preferable. I make good money and if i could make close to that playing games i would do in my free time, i would at least stream part time.

This particular streamer has had issues with weirdos in the past. Last year her security guard stopped some dude from following her around the event and that somehow got the guard banned. Twitch clearly does not take the safety of their creators seriously.
You point out the most controversial streamers out of the tens of thousands, then try to paint everyone that streams with that same brush. That is not rational. By your own admission you do not even watch the people you are crying about, then using them as a weapon against everyone else. That is like when people would say Rap is trash and garbage and they would only point to the mainstream/high profile shyt they would hear in passing.
Yes there was crazy, degenerate shyt back in the day and don't try to fukking downplay that shyt. How many people were watching the absolute degeneracy that shows like Jerry Springer and other shows like him were putting out? All of the fukking shock jocks on radio that were spewing racist/sexist/degenerate shyt all over the airwaves? All of the useless and shytty tabloids putting out garbage for people to consume? All of the retarded and shytty shows like Jackass? I was a kid during those times so I and all of the other kids saw and heard that shyt.
I can go on and on but the point is there have always been stupidity and degeneracy perpetrated through media and this is nothing new. There are way more people doing shyt that you are not complaining about, but you are lumping everyone with the handful you have a problem with. That is not rational.

Most of the well known streamers are terrible people and/or weirdos and a decent chunk self-admittedly have mental health issues from constantly being in "on" mode and broadcasting every facet of their lives.
Streaming in general exists due to Gen Alpha/Gen Z/younger Millennials growing up on the internet and having zero social skills. So they develop parasocial relationships with streamers. This is 100x worse in the case of female streamers, for obvious reasons. Any of the big female streamers (Emiru, Pokemane, Cinna, Valkyrae, etc.) should have a security detail for all public events/streams. It's only a matter of time before something worse than this happens.
