Are any brehs independent learners? Meaning you find topics that further your knowledge of the science, human behavior, the world in general, whatever your interests are?

Recently I found some free online courses through Emory University. They have all types of free educational classes about varying topics from history (https://www.coursera.org/course/ancientnubia), to science, health, agriculture, programming, algorithmic thinking, law, etc.

Check out the list and sign up for a class!

Depends on who's teachin the history. If its black history by a cac teacher then the teacher will have a conflict of interest. If its technical teachings then it would be worth checking out.

History, yes, because I wasn't taught ANYTHING about our people when I was in school aside from the usual: slavery, Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X, etc.

Hell, I knew all the Nations of Europe before I knew the Nations of Africa.

That's one good thing I took from speaking to brothers involved with the Nation of Gods and Earths.

If this is not a jab at those of us who seek higher education, then I agree, I'm also an independent learner

Who'd make jabs at higher education? Most of us here have one or more degrees anyway (or at least a few IT certs)

This is about creating your own education

Check edx.org too. A bunch of schools, good schools like Harvard and MIT offer free online classes with the opportunity to buy a certificate of some kind at the end.

Just about everything I learned I learned on my own. Only thing I ever really learned in school is the people who make A's and B's end up working for the people who make C's and D's. :yeshrug:
