India is literally the US's state lynchpin against China because of it's population size. There is a reason that Trump is not as vehemently pro tariff against them, they have an agreement on lowering Chinese influence in the Indo-Pacific ocean

US and India have zero defense pacts or treaties. If US controlled India then India wouldn’t have supported Russia when pro American hegemony Biden was in office.
US would benefit more with allowing China to bankrupt it self by going to war with India than for US to enter the conflict and take massive damage/casualties

Besides India and China already had some conflicts within their borders. Their is actual anonymity between the countries, you don't have to have an alliance with a country which hates your biggest threat/adversary to begin with

Yes as a contingency if a hot war broke out between US and China directly.. the inverse of China and India going to war first wouldn’t include the US because the US would benefit more by staying out of it.
You keep ignoring that India directly opposed America by supporting Russia in the Ukraine war

Because that has nothing to do with India's strategy when it comes to controling China's influence within the indo Pacific ocean. Look up Dr. Cenk Tamer on how the US is creating an anti china coalition in the region and how it sees India as integral in that regard
