It is what it is. An eternal debate that won't be settled. I even acknowledged my family still "cleans" their chicken as well .

I "clean" with a "quick", simple brine, it keeps family from annoying you and it makes it taste better

Same. We use a vinegar..lemon or lime mix. That's how I grew up. I know I'm not changing any minds on this but rinsing in water literally does not clean the chicken. In fact it just puts you at more risk. You have to cook the shyt lmao.
