Another tip I learned was if its super late (3AM or 4AM) and you know no cars are out, run a red. I’ve heard people stopping at red lights for a long period of time and goons coming out the bushes trying to carjack or kill them.
Dawg we run em in broad day lol they don’t stand a chance in the night

Driving in a 3rd world country 101. Don't stop for shyt at night

Really any place you're not familiar with and even then if it's not close kin mind your business. Random crime is a thing but most folks get caught up because they just can't mind their business. And that part of it rarely makes it to the papers.

I used to stop and help ppl on the side of the road but I only did it if I had someone with me to watch my back.

Last time I stopped was in 2019, a sista flagged me down. She and her daughter and grandbaby were stuck on the side of the road with a flat tire, so I stopped and changed their tire.

A couple weeks after that, it was in the news that a dude stopped and helped a couple women and they shot him dead.

I decided that was going to be my last time stopping to help somebody. The world is too crazy nowadays.

At least, I won't stop and help when it's in the middle of nowhere. If it's around a bunch of ppl, I would help.

But with the lady with her daughter and grandbaby, we were literally in the middle of nowhere, a 2 lane highway with a forest on both sides. Told my brother to watch my back but also keep his eyes on the bushes just in case somebody was lurkin.

Although thinking back on it, if somebody WAS lurking and they had guns, there was nothing we would have been able to do. We were totally exposed where we were at.

This is crazy and I never really thought about this. I don't have a car or drivers license yet but was in process of getting one next year, but idk know after reading this.

My conscious would eat me up if I drove past someone needing help, how do you guys deal with this?
How do you tell who is sincere or not, what if the person really needed help?
