If I remember correctly the year the Celtics won the title (or atleast made it back to the Finals) they were a 1 seed and got taken to 7 games by the Atlanta Hawks as an 8th seed.. They looked awful and uninspired in some of the games they lost..I keep warning people about wanting to write the eulogy for this Pacers team...They have too much talent to just count out...

True, and I thought about this very thing. But that Hawks team was young and played inspired. This Hawks team just won a game in which they shot 38%. The way the Pacers have played for the last couple months is approaching Lebron James' two game disappearing act against the Celtics in Cleveland levels of inexplicability.

we didn't win any games in Boston during that series. Boston had veteran leadership, three hall of famers and a much better coach.

we played over our heads in that series and in this one we still haven't really shot that well.

This next game will be the decider though, because despite all I said I doubt we win another in Indy, refs showed in the third quarter of game 2 that they won't allow it.

The Pacers have been ass since the all star break, not comparable

Im pretty sure the home team also won every game in that series, Indy has already dropped a home game

Well it's not just the coli.. Almost every major media outlet and plenty of former NBA players and coaches are saying it's a wrap for the Pacers...Tim Legler was on TV this morning going on about how he's never seen a collapse like this and Vogel has totally lost the team.. It just seems like a lot of overreaction..The East is still weak enough for them to figure it out imo...Whatever "it" is...

nothing brings a team together like the vultures circling. It happened to the heat in the year I mentioned.....either you get it together or you fall apart. I've seen the flashes of greatness in this team so I honestly believe they will pull together. And the way the hawks are living by jacking up threes gives me more confidence this round because all basketball fans know thats not a sustainable way to win in the playoffs. Win next game and HCA is back thats why I'm not jumping off the cliff with everyone else
