These people had decades to build generational wealth in our communities using government grants and loan programs we couldn't get, and when we tried to establish our own they burned down any attempts.


It's crazy you think none of this happened when it's documented, banks were getting exposed for having anti black loaning policies in the 2000s.

A big difference between national franchise and a independently owned wing spot.

And even then, a wealthy stem type person would be better equipped to make the investment, than a local wing spot owner would.
Its people like Mark Cuban that buy entire store chains. Not the owner of Daves BBQ house.
A small business owner is not a cheat code brehs, its just a regular ass job. average salary nationwide is 72K. Stem major average is 101K for comparison.

I know that. But franchises don't just pop up out of nowhere. You have to start with one. There's no regular person waking up thinking "ok, im going to start a restaurant, I've never done this before but I'll start with 5 restaurants and see how this goes!" Then opens up Dave's BBQ house.

Once your small business is successful, if it becomes successful, you expand, add a second store. In the case of a restaurant, a lot of people add a commercial franchise for instance open a subway or other franchise.

It's better to have your own regular ass job, rather than work for some cac or slave away for someone else in a regular ass job.

Stem is great. What we need to do rather than just apply for stem businesses is created stem opportunities for people like us so we don't have to stand in line behind anybody else. We can learn it, we can do it, we can teach it.

Was there ever any official stats on this? People on the internet have floated numbers but there's never been any official sources. An official source isn't "the white house said" "there was a news week article" "it was on the news". We need a link with sources that can be traced back to the original author/authors.

Because the reality is that what you see in that tweet wasn't built overnight, it was started back when we were denied the same opportunities. Then when steps were starting to be taken to make sure we got some of those opportunities, these people voted to kick the ladder down.

no, that's where they're being placed. the community is declared an "economic/free enterprise" zone, and funds are set aside for the revitalization of that community. i mean, what the hell did some asian know about the Black hair care market unless he was told about it and then directed into that particular industry, and then funded? do they eat fried chicken like that over in india for them to come over here and become the new masters of the bird in the Black community?
