When was the last time you heard of a black person being interested in owning a gas station?

You don't hear about it being talked about because goofies say and believe, especially on here "don't talk about your goals, don't talk about your dreams, don't express your aspirations".

They are legit, afraid to tell someone, you know what, I want to run my own car lot. Sell cars, have my customers come back to get repairs on the cars they're leasing and all that.

They are afraid of getting made fun of, they claim they hate people that just talk, but in reality they are afraid of being held accountable, they are afraid of ending up one of them talking ass mfs.

We've had this conversation here and people were like "never tell people what you want to do" :snoop:

And just because you are in those industries, doesn't mean you are welcome. Which that can really go for anything. I know someone who started a roofing company, 3 years there was a expo for the contractors, and vendors. It's a whole weekend thing people come in Friday night, leave Sunday. You got reps for various companies all over the state, union members, reps, vendors. From father and son operations to commercial business to national chain. Presentations, a little award like best in customer service, highest sales, a big dinner for all of them.

To hear how that experience went for this breh was fukked up. Vendors and people from other businesses just turning and walking away after he introduced himself. Vendors throwing his business cars in the trash right in front of him.

Tons of whites and Mexicans, some Indians too that handle product orders, inventory, accounting. It's like a family environment, people shaking hands, networking, referrals. And all those people were eating from the same plate and he got treated like shyt. Hard to say it's just because he's black, when he has his own table booth between 2 white businesses and people are walking up to those booths and shaking hands exchanging pamphlets, talking and such. All the booths are set up the same, a little placard with the business name, your bring your own pamphlets or advertisements. You stand behind it with your company shirt, smile, introduce yourself, shake hands and talk business. Those mfs legit didn't fukk with him.

Were black people applying for those loans and grants, and getting denied?
This.

I believe yall about this and I ve seen it myself.

But if we as a people are serious about competition then we need to understand how they’re doing it so that we can either do it ourselves OR in this current climate seek to destroy their competitive advantage like theyre doing via their war on DEI/Affirmative Action and the hostile takeover of H1Bs.

Jesse Jackson spoke on this decades ago, how immigrants can come here and get funding to open businesses in the Black community. Now they're everywhere. They're taking over the fried chicken market too.

Go to most any Churchy's and they own it. And they don't only own it, but over where I stay you pass by Churchy's and there's lines at the drive thru now, because they're in there cooking hot fresh bird and whipping Popeye's and KFC's asses. You can get a 3 piece spicy for under $5. I don't even eat fried chicken like that but Church's goes hard whenever I do go by there.

Blacks have been left the transportation industry. I guess the sentiment is that we can still be good chauffeurs.

But the thing is, it's not like there are loans and grants specifically for Indians. The same loans and grants tgey get, black folk can get. So why the h3ll we mad at them?

This is what I’m talking about. They went and got that money. And they own the gas stations, and convenience stores in white neighborhoods too. And as someone who has been in too many nail shops waiting for women, the Asians own the ones in white neighborhoods too.

We should have BEEN infiltrated pizza and sub shops. But the mentality in the hood isn’t entrepreneurship. (At least not legally). And the mentally among lower middle class and up black people is getting a good job.

We definitely have a problem with helping each other out, and gatekeeping. Most of those immigrant run businesses only hire their family members. I used to be cool with a Puerto Rican girl whose family owned a bodega. It wasn’t nice at all! But their family lived in a nice house, had 5 kids, and all the kids worked at the store except one daughter who was a CNA. (All the girls were single moms too but their parents were still together)

Idi Amin knew what he was doing..

Indian's straight from India without a cent to their name who can manage to land in your country will be welcomed and given soft loans by other more established Indians to gang up and complete the take over of your industries..thats how they do it.
They also engage in Human Trafficking to bring in Indians from India who will work for way less than an American will, as a dozen of them cram into a single bedroom apartment..:scust:

Can’t knock the hustle if I’m speaking strictly from a hyper capitalist perspective. The exploit each other, sacrifice for the long term, avoid instant gratification, practice group economics to come up.

They also keep the money in the community by largely marrying and starting families with each other.

Not saying all of these practices are ethical or right, just that Jews, Koreans and now Indians have figured out how to thrive in a hyper capitalist society better than anyone else by sticking together.

Then they use these businesses as a launch pad to get their kids a good education and go into corporate America. CEOs of Microsoft, Google, IBM, Adobe, Chanel are Indian. That’s amazing when you consider the population size of Indians in U.S.

Most Indians that own these businesses were already upper middle class/wealthy elites and very well connected to other upper middle class/wealthy elites in their country.

There are more upper middle class and wealthy elite Indians than there are ADOS of any class.

Comparisons and asking why can't we when they can are stupid. Just like the fact that wealthy elites of other countries are allowed to have so much influence over industries in this one. This shouldn't even be possible and does nothing to contribute to the overall health of this country and its citizens.

Yeah I don’t think this gets talked about enough either. Most legal immigrants aren’t coming here with no money.

This is why Black people championing the DEI/Affirmative Action programs seem so odd to me. It's like they are living and dying for "multicultural" benefits, that almost never benefit SPECIFICALLY Black people. It's like we are so conditioned to accept breadcrumbs, then put on Fake Militant stances and get angry at Black people who don't care for the breadcrumb policies

But hey, let them "fight the good fight" I guess

That's exactly what I said. Why can everyone else be open about what they want to do, aspire to do, make their goals public, etc. I got a lot of "well they say something and do it" and "we gotta move in silence because of the system"

Whenever we do something they crash it down, black real estate, black banks, black schools, black programs. Then where there ain't those programs and functions "oh, they don't care they just want to listen to drill music and buy Jordans"
We definitely have a problem with helping each other out, and gatekeeping.

I think this is some internet shyt, because I've been to black businesses and people show up. shyt I attend a weekly chess club meeting every Monday at a library. And black people, kids, adults, males and females show up. shyt my pops had his own business since the early 90s, he's black, he's always been in the same black area and he's been good since then til now.

I've never ever, even with all the c00ns ive met in real life, heard one say some of the shyt about black businesses that I've seen on the internet. "Oh they open late and close early" "they always have an attitude" "they want you to spend your money and kiss their ass".

I only know 2 black people that opened their own restaurant. They did alright but eventually closed for other reasons. But I know a few white people that have done it and while there's a problem in the system, I can't say it's racist.

The building inspectors and health inspectors can come to your shyt and be cool, or they can come to your shyt and give you a laundry list of everything wrong and possibly wrong. Now my city releases a list once or twice a year with ratings like excellent, fair, good and poor and it's transparent. They'll be like "exposed wiring, pest control: insects in dining area, leaky windows, bad plumbing".

And there is no consistency. One restaurant can have insects and be a poor and another one can have just insects but still be good. Some get put on a 14 day list to fix or close, some get shut down until a problem is resolved, some get a fine.

Cities have a chamber of commerce. You go to some of these good ole boy cities and try to open your spot where you "don't belong" you may not even get a chance to serve your product or customers before they fukk with you.

This was a classic thread. A shame the videos gone https://www.thecoli.com/threads/bre...florida-cacs-get-mad-and-shut-it-down.986636/
