Indie Games Thread(We Appreciate You)

Yes I am, Ori isn't this mini budgeted game like an actual indie title which is a title made by a smaller group. Thats why they are called indies.
Then once the PS4 dropped, the internets understanding of what an indie is changed. Then insomniac made the quip that they are an indie by definition. Only sony gamers pushed that angle which is retarded. Last gen we had an indie section for games like "A kingdom for keflings" while actual arcade titles like State of Decay/etc would be in the arcade section.

What happened was indie developers didn't like being called indie titles because they knew that the masses didn't check for indie titles like that cuz most of them SUCK. But they usually sell for a dollar. Eliminating that this gen has made those titles appear next to arcade titles, a they charge US THE GAMERS upwards of $15 for the games they would usually charge $1 for

No, indie devs insisted it be this way. All this shyt was discussed in depth around the summer of 2013 when sony fans hyped up indie titles as a reason the PS4 has as they put it.. and still say this til this day... "That the PS4 has more games than the XB1"

I was correcting basedprime when he said Ori was an indie as well. Its not, but it will be called that because that is what THEY (indie devs) want.

It doesn't benefit US THE GAMERS tho. It only confuses people. Makes us think an indie title might be a higher quality/budgeted title
They want to blurr the lines to increase sales. I understand there angle, but you as a consumer needs to understand WHAT THEY ARE DOING. But back to my POINT. Today a game called "Thomas was alone" hit XB1 today. An indie game
From what I saw, it looks like a fun game. BUT, its an indie game thru n thru.
This game when it was categorized properly as an indie game. Would have been $1 on Xbox 360
Once sony did this fake grand stand about how they indie game capital of the world, sony stans been hyping up that bullshyt ever since
