Industry buzzing about PS4 not being as powerful as claimed

As most of you may have heard. There were rumors of the PS4 being as much as 40% more powerful than the Xbox One according to inside sources with PHD's on the matter. Whats sad is that lie made up by a stan was tossed around as FACT. I don't understand why fans of sony systems go out there way to establish lies as fact. The ps3 is supposed to be much more powerful than the Xbox 360 according to these same people. Every developer says they equal. So its not a surprise that they trying to establish this lie again. Even SONY themselves, Jack Trenton said the PS4 is considerably more powerful than the Xbox One even though he doesn't even know the true specs of the Xbox One to even make that type of comment. He said developers that he talked to have said that, but E3 games showed a different story. The industry has had enough and is now starting to speak on it. One industry insider says THE PS4 ISN'T POWERFUL ENOUGH TO RUN NEXT GEN GAMES IN THE NEAR FUTURE Which is something people used to say about the Xbox 360 because it uses a DVD9 drive instead of Blu-ray. I thought this was another bullshiit story until the evidence began to show up.

The PS4 can't even handle launch titles as of right now, but people really think its more powerful and will launch in October packed with a Vita, PS+ and I guess some free PS4 games to boot!!! And if you preorder right now they'll wave the PS+ online multiplayer fee!!!

They aren't equal, that shouldn't be disputed. How they are utilized is the difference. Development tools tell the story and so far, no one has ever been able to beat Microsoft there. They aren't going to be able to make up the difference in sheer power between the PS4 and XB1 but we are at the point now, the graphics are great, no one is really going to matter. Correction, I'd care because I'm a techie, but the average consumer will give no fukks about it. XB1 will be 'next-gen' enough and will pass the mom test.
