At least the lions are getting the better out of the 2 coaching prospects.

I know it seems funny now, but Cutler was actually very good with the Broncos at one point in time
no he wasn't. he was always a turnover machine with big arm. literally all he had to his credit was Brandon Marshalls friendship and a big arm.

I was on here (well, sohh/projectcovo) arguing with dumb ass dudes that Kyle Orton was a better qb than his ass

I'm so glad y'all are kicking the tires on Josh McDaniels and not us. I'd prefer we stay away from the Patriots completely but that doesn't look to be the case. At least the lions are getting the better out of the 2 coaching prospects.
A few years ago, the Chiefs were trying to be the Midwest Patriots. We had Cassell, Crennel, Weis, Scott Pioli :francis:

So throwing for 4500+ yards and 25 TDs while leading 5 come from behind wins (out of the 8 games they won that year) doesn't count for shyt?

Keep in mind that the broncos didn't have a single running back that eclipsed 400 rushing yards that season. Cutler was the backbone of the entire broncos offense that season

wins were never, are not, and will never be a qb stat. if you attribute wins to a qb, we have nothing to talk about.

now, blake bortles threw for 4.5k yards and 35 tds with 4 game winning drives just two years ago. is he a 'franchise qb' ?

the term is garbage anyway. do you hear people say 'franchise right guard' or franchise weak side linebacker ? exactly :camby:

It may not be a QB stat but let's not act like he didn't play a big part in those wins. The broncos D and running game that season was AWFUL. So much so that the broncos were outscored 370-448

The comparison to Blake Bortles does make sense, but I think there's clearly a difference between someone on a bottom feeding team who racks up garbage time stats and someone who is the main reason their team even had a chance at the playoffs in the first place. If their defense wasn't so pitiful they wouldnt have choked away a seemingly insurmountable 3 game lead with 3 to go
