Breh don’t even think to hard. Yall are the experts and I’m just thinking out loud.

I'm not an expert. I'm just a breh who was forced to take macroeconomics years ago for credit.

I'm trying to learn why the fed is forced to lower the rate because of a congressional spending deficit. It's a claim you've made at least 2 times in this thread.

Because the interest on the deficit will kill the economy. Cash, stock markets, crypto will all collapse without a rate cut. They will mean nothing.

This is why I told breh earlier Trump forced a rate cut when he passed his tax cuts.

You a different kind of stupid. Bet your ass was the same one crying about cutting government spending, watched Hella people lose their jobs, just for this dumb ass president to raise the debt ceiling to the highest its ever been

I think by the end of this year we will be paying 1 trillion dollars to pay down national debt. While adding 1 trillion in debt every 5 months. If the rates don’t drop or go up, that debt will be added even faster.

America gdp is about 30 trillion a year. We are 35 trillion in debt while adding 1 trillion every 5 months and possibly quicker.

I don’t know how we make that annual payment without a rate cut.

I’m not an expert but that math doesn’t make sense to me without lower interest rates.

I think all of his cuts outside of usaid was a bad idea honestly . I even thought raising the debt ceiling was a disaster.

I said it before I think Trump did everything he did to get lower interest rates quicker. Doesn’t mean I ageee or think it’s a good idea.

In reality I think the government should expand in social services to the people, not pull back. :manny:

I don't get his statement considering the fact that his clown boss is saying the opposite.
They definitely want the cuts.

Probably trying to be manipulative and passive aggressive about it on some “Inflation is going crazy so you got to cut now or you’ll look bad :smugbiden:, but I know you guys want to be careful tho :steviej:

Of course it’s while knowing the tariffs bullshyt causing it.

They know rate cuts will lead to skyrocketing inflation but “stock price go up. Trump look good.”

What a shytshow.

I really hope people see the shytty job they’re doing. Nonstop grifting and creating problems then trying to “fix” those problems to act like they’re doing work.

"I think we could go into a series of rate cuts here, starting with a 50 basis-point rate cut in September,” Bessent said in a television interview on Wednesday. “If you look at any model” it suggests that “we should probably be 150, 175 basis points lower"

Where did I say I trusted Trump? I said the interest rates have to be cut to save the economy. That’s all I’ve EVER said when it came to interest rates.

Yall the ones running around talking about supply, demand, inflation. It’s the FED who kept saying demand was so strong they couldn’t cut rates, now you and the coli experts want to say there is no demand :laff:

Start reading and following news and stop quoting headlines and coli experts. :camby:

and I said this is blatantly false and explained exactly why. then you said they should give trump what he wants and cut rates, which is why I told you that taking financial advice from that buffoon is not the move.

every economist I have heard talk about fiscal policy has ALWAYS said that you don't cut rates when there is inflation. jerome powell is actually competent, and has refused to cut rates during inflationary periods and wisely so. as a matter of fact, they rase rates to slow inflation.

Now go listen to those same economist talk about what the tax cuts did to the deficit. Go type in your favorite economists names and type in deficit, tax cuts, Trump, interest rates. Then come back and type all that again with a straight face.

Look at all the cuts Trump did to get his tax cuts. Now ask yourself, what is Trump going to cut first when the deficit payments take ahold of the economy?

We gone see real soon who is right and who is wrong.

PPI Numbers came in hot this morning…Scott had to hit the
:whoa:
Yeah, well Trump will just call that report fake and insist that prices didn't increase because tariffs are not taxes due to foreign countries paying the tariffs. So Bessent's statement still doesn't make any sense, because we are living in Trump's fantasyland where there is no inflation.

FYI for people that don't understand tariffs. That PPI reports clearly shows that foreign countries don't pay the tariffs.
