we have gone through a few generation of, go to college, get a job, get married, have kids, save for retirement, retire, and die.

people are waking up to the fact its means nothing in the long run and life is short. why waste it working a 9-5 for some company that could give 0 fuks about you and on top of that what are you really making money for?

on top of that the work force has become so toxic with leftover baby boomers still milking the system and so afraid of change from the next generation they hord resoces. Just look at politics most these guys have been milking the system for years and are going to die before the retire.

this is the first generation with an ifinite supply of information on demand and in their hands at all times. They know their is more to life then work.

I didn't get a full time job until I was late into my 20s and only then did I realize how stupid and toxic the rat race is.

If you can get through life without even playing the rat race more power to you.

The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers.

Nah the Jig is up but at the same time not all people are meant to be bosses. That’s the problem everyone wants to own they own shyt but don’t realize that you’re probably going to work harder and have more sleepless night getting your shyt of the ground then working for someone. Social media glorifies this narrative with showing the results of the hard work instead of the process of it and has some nikkaz delusional thinking they can do this too. Sometimes you need to work with someone so you can get that life experience on how to work with people. A lot of gen z have great ideas but their social skills are trash because they all up in the internet watching what the next man is doing.

I think both perspectives are accurate. Gen Z is both parts revolutionary in that they are shaking things up with challenging current work culture…but many are also lazy and entitled because they are living off the legacy, care and sacrifice of their parents.

Consider this. It’s all well and good to acknowledge the problems of the system. But while you are raging against the machine, you still have basic lifestyle needs: food/water/shelter, ect.

If those who were complaining were making a complete break from society and going offgrid as rugged trailblazers then it would be more tolerable. But we have a generation that is crippling their elders by relying on them for all their basic needs, while they complain about not wanting to work. Somebody is working to sustain that internet you are complaining on. Somebody is feeding you and putting a roof over your head unless you followed the formula and work for yourself. In order to have anything, you have to start with something.

This is where the tension lies. You can’t bluff your way through a revolution. And while you are rebelling, that takes work as well.

But it’s hard to blame Gen Z for their attitudes because they actually aren’t wrong. Nobody should work to die.

Somewhere in the middle is the truth: Our system is shytty and in need of radical reformation, but there is still opportunity within it and no matter what path you choose, you can’t avoid work, unless you are going to be a burden to someone else.

Working hard used to be enough to survive. It no longer is, so why work hard for nothing in return. And things are getting significantly worse for the young generations.
This is being ignored....it's easier to just make a few bad apples the face of everybody, though, so folks go for that. Notice I don't see folks in this thread saying, 'I talked to....' they'll go hunt down some tweet like they do everything else.

Having kids is on the decline too. I don't blame any of these youngins for that in the least. Take daycare out of the equation and the pay at most of these jobs doesn't seem so bad anymore. If you are down for marriage do it and you both get snipped. Travel. Take vacations once or twice a year. Live. A lot of kids grew up seeing parents unable to do that because they had to work literally all the time. These youngsters are seeing this shyt even if they never speak on it. Trust me.

Everything you guys see happening is in response to something. Sitting around being dismissive and blanketing everyone as lazy is the real reason youngins don't respect old heads. That's from real discussion not some random social media interaction(and you guys turn around and cry about tiktok) :dead:

What I do is work hard regardless of the pay, but if after a while a company does not value my hard work through a decent promotion/raise then I am leaving.

I am a professional job hopper, and my salary always increase when I do this :manny: .
