I saw this crystal clear back in 2008. Friend of mine is black, and we have a mutual white acquaintance (a white chick) who used to always talk about how mixed blacks were so cute, and agreed they were black. One day we're in the school library and word leaks about Obama winning the Iowa primary. nikkas was like "he gonna be the first black president just watch!" I could see this white chick get visibly shook at the prospect, and she started going on and on about how he was raised by white people, is half white, it's not fair to call him black, etc. So my black friend was like "but you always be saying mixed=black. How come it's different with Obama?"
She didn't answer but I know the difference: success. There are some, NOT ALL, white people who #inherently feel the need to deflate black success. Oh you got into Harvard? Such and such had the same high GPA and didn't get in, I guess you must have got in due to affirmative action. Oh you got that internship? I guess they're trying to diversify. Dr Dre is a billionaire now? If he was white he would have been thrown in jail for being sexist. That shyt is seriously like a Napoleon complex or some shyt. There's always a caveat. Remember when 12 Years a Slave won and twitter was full of people saying it only won due to being about slavery? That's the new racism brehs. It's not about burning crosses or beating people, it's about automatically assuming black people get free shyt, and using that to justify not hiring blacks, not supporting blacks, etc.
