I HATE folks that stand in front of elevator doors. This is especially annoying/dangerous if you have a dog.

I HATE dog owners who use those "go where ever" leashes. Double hate for them not standing back in elevators, with the leash locked to avoid this.

I've had a somewhat similar thing happen to me. Luckily it wasn't a pit; we have a few in my buildin'. A couple has a white shepherd lookin' dog, at least twice the size of my biggest dog. Worst than the "go where ever" leash - though I think that's what they have - the dog was OFF leash. They get off the elevator, and the dog turns the corner and immediately goes after one of my dogs. I don't think the shepherd was about that life because I was able to grab its collar before anything could go wrong. But it was a good few seconds before the girlfriend/wife (I usually see the boyfriend/husband walkin' this dog) makes it around the corner, apologizing and gathering her dog.
